Description
Drostanolone Enanthate, also known as Dromostanolone, is a dihydrotestosterone (DHT) group anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) that was never commercialised. Under the trade names Drolban, Masteril, and Masteron, an androgen ester prodrug of drostanolone, was previously used to treat breast cancer in female patients. Additionally, it has been employed for non-medical performance or physical enhancement.
Therapeutic indication
Used in females to treat androgen-responsive recurrent breast cancer in those who are more than a year but less than five years postmenopausal.
Pharmacological actions
Drostanolone is a synthetic androstane steroid and a derivative of DHT. It is also known as 2-methyl-5-dihydrotestosterone (2-methyl-DHT) or 2-methyl-5-androstan-17-ol-3-one. Particularly, it is DHT that has a methyl group at the C2 position.
Usage Directions
Drostanolone Enanthate must be injected intramuscularly in order to be effective because it is inactive when taken orally. The medication has a 7-day elimination half-life when taken this way.
