Description
An androgen and anabolic steroid medicine called Testosterone Propionate, also known by the trade name Testoviron, is primarily used to treat low testosterone in males. It has also been applied to the treatment of female breast cancer. Slow-acting anabolic steroid testosterone propionate is no longer used often to treat androgen insufficiency or to encourage anabolic effects on muscles.
Therapeutic indication
The anabolic steroid testosterone propionate has a short half-life and a slower rate of release. In the form of a 17-propionate ester of testosterone, it is an artificial androstane steroid derivative of testosterone. Watson Labs originally created testosterone propionate, which the FDA authorised on February 5, 1974. Although this medication is no longer used in humans, it is still sold over-the-counter for use in animals. In order to promote the most development possible in heifers, testosterone propionate is utilised in veterinary medicine.
Why choose Testosterone Propionate over conventional medicine?
Proteins involved in male sexual development can be produced when testosterone propionate is administered. Following the injection of Testosterone Propionate, clinical studies have demonstrated a reduction in plasma LH.
Pharmacological actions
Activation of the androgen receptor (directly or through DHT) and conversion to estradiol and activation of specific oestrogen receptors are the two major ways that testosterone affects humans and other animals. The cytoplasm of target tissue cells receives free testosterone (T), which is then either converted to 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the cytoplasmic enzyme 5alpha-reductase or can bind to the androgen receptor. Hormone response elements (HREs), which control the transcriptional activity of certain genes and result in the androgen effects, are the sites of binding.
Usage Directions
It is given by injection into muscle usually once every two to three days
